Eric Cantor — Vice Chairman & MD of Washington, DC at Moelis & Company

Mr. Eric Cantor has been the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Washington, DC at Moelis & Company since September 2014. Mr. Cantor has been a Director of Moelis & Company since September 2014. He served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2001 to 2014. He was elected by his colleagues in the House to serve as the Majority Leader for the 112(th) and 113(th) Congresses where he led the public policy agenda for the House from 2010 till 2014. He was regularly featured in publications focusing on a wide range of topics including both domestic and international matters. His accomplishments as Majority Leader include the passage of the JOBS Act. Mr. Cantor has more than 25 years of political and business experience. Mr. Cantor advises clients regarding public policy issues across industry sectors with a focus on their intersection with international business and finance. Additionally, Mr. Cantor serves as a member of the Bipartisan Policy Center's Executive Council on Infrastructure. In 2015, he served as a visiting fellow at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government. He co-authored the New York Times best-selling book, Young Guns: A New Generation of Conservative Leaders. Mr. Cantor received his undergraduate degree from The George Washington University, his law degree from The College of William and Mary and his master's degree from Columbia University in New York.
