Michiel De Jongh — President of Monsanto Canada and General Manager of Monsanto Canada at Monsanto Company

Mr. Michiel De Jongh has been the President and General Manager of Canadian Business Operations at Monsanto Canada Inc. since June 1, 2015. Mr. De Jongh is responsible for the overall strategic direction of Monsanto Canada, as well as management of Canadian business operations to ensure marketing and sales plans deliver continued growth to Monsanto Canada's seeds, traits and chemistry businesses. He also oversee Monsanto's efforts to provide solutions to Canadian farmers that help them grow food in a sustainable way using fewer resources with less impact on the environment. In addition, to his responsibilities in Canada he also serves on Monsanto Company's global commercial leadership team and its management advisory council. He served as the Head of Business for Monsantoin Russia, Ukraine and Belarus at Monsanto Company since December 2012. He has strong leadership and a global business background to Monsanto Canada. He began his career with Seminis in Spain in 2004 and joined Monsanto Company through the acquisition of Seminis by Monsanto in 2005. During his 11 years with the company, he has undertaken a number of roles around the globe including Vegetable Global Manufacturing Human Resources Director, Human Resources Director and Sales Director in Latin America South, President for Korea and Regional Director for Japan. He was the Business Lead for Ukraine, Russia and Belarus, responsible for growing Monsanto's business in Eastern Europe. Mr. De Jongh holds a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering and Management Science from University of Technology Eindhoven, Netherlands.
