Mr. Steven A. Navarro is a Partner in the Business Transactions Practice at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP. He is based in the firm's New York office. Mr. Navarro's practice areas are business and finance, private equity, crossborder mergers and acquisitions, life sciences transactions, private equity mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic alliances, and mergers and acquisitions. His practice focuses on private equity transactional matters, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic alliances. Mr. Navarro has recently worked on transactions involving companies in the publishing, food and beverage, building materials, life sciences, energy, and aerospace industries. He represented clients in connection with a successful $2.5 billion tender offer; a $1.45 billion acquisition of a privately-held beverage company; a $700 million sale and international joint venture of a specialty building materials manufacturer; and an international venture to develop, construct, and market specialized military aircraft. Mr. Navarro's clients include pharmaceutical companies which he has advised from formation through IPO and beyond and he advises healthcare providers in mergers and acquisitions matters. He advises non-U.S. companies seeking to raise capital in the U.S. public and private markets. Mr. Navarro also advises clients in connection with ADR programs and New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ listings. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey. Mr. Navarro has contributed to articles including Getting What You Paid for [in a Transatlantic Acquisition], published in the American British Business in October 2004. Publications that he has presented on includes Mergers and Acquisitions: What Every In-House Lawyer Needs to Know, presented at the Association of Corporate Counsel - New Jersey (NJCCA) Chapter, Whippany, NJ on 9th February, 2006 and What Every In-House Lawyer Needs to Know, presented at a Mergers and Acquisitions Seminar, New York on 1st February, 2006. Mr. Navarro's contribution to the Morgan Lewis Deskbook as an Editor includes the Handbook of Investment in the United States, Third Edition on 1st January, 2003. He has also given a speech on Asset Sales in Bankruptcy on 1st February, 2002. Mr. Navarro has been listed in the USA Legal 500 in the area of corporate in 2006. He has received a J.D. in 1987 from the Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A. in 1984 from the State University of New York at Albany.
