Mr. Ernest E. East serves as the Chief Regulatory & Compliance Officer and Vice President of Nevada Gold & Casinos Inc. and served as its Interim President from September 5, 2012 to December 1, 2012. Mr. East served as the Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Vice President of Nevada Gold & Casinos Inc. since January 4, 2007 and served as its Chief Regulatory Officer. Mr. East served as General Counsel for several major corporations and has more than 30 years experience handling legal affairs and regulatory issues. He was most recently Chief Legal Officer of Global Trust Management, LLC and prior to that, he served as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Sierra Pacific Resources, one of the fastest growing energy companies from January 2004 to June 2005. He served as Secretary of Nevada Gold & Casinos Inc. and served as its General Counsel since January 4, 2007. He served as Vice President of Sierra Pacific Resources /nv/ from January to November 2004. From August 1998 to January 2004, he served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Hyatt Gaming Services, LLC. He also served as an Executive Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel for such leading companies as Del Webb Corporation and Trump Hotels and Casino Resorts from June 1991 to August 1994. Mr. East served as Corporate Senior Vice President of Sierra Pacific Resources from October 2004 to June 2005. He served as Corporate Senior Vice President of Nevada Power Company, a subsidiary of Sierra Pacific Resources since October 2004 and also served as its Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Previously, he served as Corporate Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Sierra Pacific Power Co., a subsidiary of Sierra Pacific Resources since October 2004; Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel for Artisoft, Inc. since 1997 and Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel for Elsinore Corporation from October 1994 to January 1996. Mr. East was Associate General Counsel for Georgia-Pacific Corporation and Boise Cascade Corporation. He served as an Attorney with the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. East. Mr. East holds BA from University of Tulsa and J.D. from the University of Arkansas School of Law.
