Mr. Robert Wann has been the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Executive Vice President at New York Community Bancorp Inc. and its subsidiaries New York Community Bank since July 2, 2003 and since October 31, 2003 respectively. Mr. Wann served as the Chief Financial Officer of New York Community BanCorp. Inc., from 1993 to July 2, 2003 and New York Commercial Bank and New York Community Bank from January 1, 2001 to July 2, 2003. He served as an Executive Vice President of New York Community BanCorp. Inc., New York Commercial Bank and New York Community Bank from January 1, 2001 to October 31, 2003. He served as Senior Vice President of New York Community BanCorp. Inc., from 1993 to December 2000 and Senior Vice President and Comptroller of New York Commercial Bank from 1993 to December 2000. Mr. Wann provided leadership for New York Community BanCorp. Inc.'s finance division, where he started as a Staff Accountant in 1982. Since 1989, he served as Controller of New York Community BanCorp. Inc. and also served as its Chief Financial Officer since 1991. During his tenure, he has been instrumental in New York Community BanCorp. Inc.'s evolution from a $750 million thrift with six branches in Queens and Nassau counties to a $30 billion multi-bank holding company with 218 locations spanning two states. As Chief Financial Officer, he played an integral role in the formation of New York Community BanCorp. Inc.', its conversion to stock form and its subsequent growth through a series of merger transactions. As Chief Operating Officer, he has overseen the merger-related expansion of the branch network, the systems conversions that followed and the enhancement of New York Community BanCorp. Inc.'s product menu and internal controls. Mr. Wann served as the President of the Flushing Central Lions Club in Queens. He has been a Director of New York Community Bancorp Inc. since January 1, 2008. He has been a Director of New York Commercial Bank and New York Community Bank, since December 21, 2007. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Queens College Foundation and is a Member of the Queens College Art Advisory Board. Mr. Wann is a graduate of Queens College with a degree in accounting.
