Tham Khai Meng — Chief Creative Officer and Director at Ogilvy & Mather

Mr. Tham Khai Meng has been the Chairman of World Wide Creative Council and Creative Director of Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, Inc. since November 2008. Mr. Meng served as Executive Regional Creative Director, Asia Pacific of Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide Inc., until November 2008. He started his advertising career in London and joined Ogilvy & Mather in 1999. He served as the Chairman of the Clio Jury since 2005. Campaign Brief Asia named Mr. Meng serves as the Number One Creative Director in Asia for four years in a row; AdAge Global listed him as one of the 100 most influential people in the communication business; recently he won Media magazine's Regional Agency Head of the Year 2005. He serves as a Director of Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, Inc. He won numerous Gold awards at international advertising award shows including Cannes, Clio, The One Show and Communication Arts. He is author of The Ugly Duckling - a cautionary tale of creativity, now translated into Korean, Japanese and Mandarin. He is a key member of various Singapore government boards that shape the strategic development of the country. This year, he, together with a few luminaries from the advertising fraternity, was elected to the teaching faculty of the Executive MBA programme offered by Michael Conrad's Berlin School, Steinbeis University Berlin. He holds a B.A. (1st Class) from Central St Martin's, UK, and an MA (summa cum laude) in film and History of Art from the Royal College of Art, UK.
