Bertrand Bodson — Chief Digital Officer at Novartis

Mr. Bertrand Bodson has been Chief Digital Officer of Novartis AG since January 1, 2018. Mr. Bodson served as the Chief Digital Officer of Home Retail Group since March 2014 and served as its Member of the Group Executive Board. He served as a Member of Executive Board at Argos Limited. He served as Digital Director of Argos since July 3, 2013 and oversaw online and mobile offerings. He served as Digital Director of Argos Limited since July 2013. He served as Senior Vice-President of Global Digital Marketing- EMI Music at Maltby Capital Limited since June 2010. He co-founded Wannabet Ltd. and served as its Chief Executive Officer from 2006 to 2010. Mr. Bodson started more conventionally as a strategy guy at The Boston Consultant Group. He served as Executive Vice President for Global Digital Offering at EMI Music. Previously, he worked in a number of senior eCommerce roles including leading global digital and marketing responsibilities at EMI Music from 2010 to 2013 and at Amazon from 2003 to 2006, both in the US and Europe. He established Amazon's European DVD business. He joined Amazon.com in Seattle before coming back to London to launch and run the DVD rental group across EU. He has been an Independent Non Executive Director of Electrocomponents plc since June 1, 2015. He holds an MBA in Business Administration from Harvard Business School and an Masters of Commercial Engineering from Solvay Business School/McGill University, Belgium.
