Robin McConnell Shallow — Vice President of Communications at NutriSystem

Ms. Robin McConnell Shallow has been Vice President of Communications at Nutrisystem, Inc. since May 20, 2013. Ms. Shallow oversees Nutrisystem's corporate media relations, brand publicity, internal communications, events and community relations. Ms. Shallow drives consumer and corporate communications strategies for the Nutrisystem brand. Ms. Shallow has over two decades of experience working with some of the biggest, most valuable consumer media brands in the health and weight loss space. Ms. Shallow served as an Executive Vice President of Communications and Public Relations at MeetMe, Inc. (Quepasa Corporation) from January 2012 to May 2013. Ms. Shallow was responsible for the overall communications strategy, corporate branding, events, media relations and public relations. She served as an Executive Vice President of Communications at Rodale Inc. from January 2010 to November 2010, where she oversaw corporate, executive, internal, brand and marketing communications across the Rodale. At Rodale, Ms. Shallow was responsible for creating and driving multi-platform, integrated partnerships for the Rodale leading suite of health, fitness and wellness titles, including Men's Health, Prevention and Women's Health, South Beach Diet, Abs Diet, Celebrity Fit Club, Flat Belly Diet! and Eat This, Not That!, among others. She had day-to-day management of NBC/Reveille's Biggest Loser franchise for Rodale including online extensions, best-selling branded books, newsstand special issues and magazine integrations. Ms. Shallow spent the earlier part of her career at Time Inc. where she directed communications for enthusiast group of 18 magazines including titles like Golf Magazine, This Old House and Popular Science. She served as Public Relations Director for Sports Illustrated and worked as a Production Executive on Live with Regis & Kathie Lee! She is a has BA in Telecommunications from Pepperdine University.
