Executive Bio
Rob leads technology development for the mobile, cloud, and on-premise stacks supporting Openpath’s products and services. Prior to Openpath, Rob was an early member of the technology team at EdgeCast Networks, where he led the development of a highly performant and scalable software architecture for the edge server network consisting of tens of thousands of servers delivering many terabits per second of end-user internet traffic. Later, he served as CTO for Verizon Digital Media Services after Verizon’s acquisition of EdgeCast. Rob’s Ph.D. is in Computation and Neural Systems from Caltech and post-doctoral experience at the University of Southern California; his research centered on building biologically-inspired computer vision algorithms that can be implemented efficiently and practically.
