Kathryn R. Gonzales — Senior VP & Head of Sales Integration at Opus Bank

Ms. Kathryn R. Gonzales has been Senior Vice President and Head of Sales Integration at Opus Bank since November 6, 2017. Ms. Gonzales has more than 25 years of experience with financial institutions including the last 10 years in senior management. She served as Senior Vice President, Executive Vice President and Director of Branch Banking at Plaza Bank, where she served from 2015 to 2017. She served as the Chief Banking Officer of Farmers & Merchants Bank of Long Beach from 2013 to March 2015, where she was responsible for retail and sales strategies. She specializes in expanding core accounts and cultivating deeper relationships with important clients, working with all 23 of Farmers & Merchants branches. She served as Senior Vice President of Retail Banking at Provident Bank in Riverside. She has also held posts at Wells Fargo (WFC), Bank of the West and Citizens Business Bank. She served as a Senior Vice President of Retail Banking of Provident Financial Holdings Inc since August 7, 2006. She served as Senior Vice President of Retail Banking of Provident Savings Bank, F.S.B. from August 7, 2006 to December 4, 2013. From 2003 to 2006, she served as First Senior Vice President of Community Banking and President/Chief Executive Officer of the Business Banking (CUSO??) at Arrowhead Credit Union Bank. She began her banking career in 1980 at Security Pacific National Bank and subsequently Bank of America following its acquisition of Security Pacific, where she rose to the position of Assistant Vice President of Commercial Credit Officer and focused on compliance, credit review and special assets. She joined the Provident Savings Bank from Bank of America, where she was responsible for working with under-performing branches and re-energizing their business development capabilities. She was with Arrowhead Central Credit Union, where she was responsible for 25 retail branches and oversaw their significant deposit growth. Her experience includes retail branch sales development, branch operations, development of business-related products and services and commercial lending. Ms. Gonzales is a Graduate of the Business Management Certificate Program at Mount Saint Mary's University and the Pacific Coast Bankers School at the University of Washington.
