Jim Yates — President of Par Hawaii Inc at Par Pacific Holdings

Mr. Jim Yates serves as Chief Executive Officer and President of Mid Pac Petroleum, LLC. Mr. Yates serves as the President of Par Hawaii Inc at Par Pacific Holdings, Inc. and served as its Senior Vice President of Marketing & Logistics since May 2015. Mr. Yates is responsible for the overall operations and administration of the state's only full-service gas company at Mid Pac Petroleum, LLC. Mr. Yates served as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Gas Company, LLC until August 31, 2007. Prior to The Gas Company's acquisition by k1 Ventures Limited in 2003, he served as Vice President & General Manager of the Hawaii Energy division of Citizens Utilities Company. He was responsible for The Gas Company and Kauai Electric, the sole electric utility for the island of Kauai. He served as Vice President of Corporate Development of Honolulu since 1993. He held a number of oil and gas exploration and production related roles with BHP Petroleum in Oklahoma City and Houston. Mr. Yates has been Director of The Gas Company since August 31, 2007. He serves as Director of the Hawaii Chapter of the American Red Cross, the Western Energy Institute, Waialae Baptist Church, YMCA of Honolulu and the Hawaii Employers Council. He is a member of the Hawaii Business Roundtable, the Young President Organization, the Hawaii Asia Pacific Association and the Business Advisory Council for Hawaiian Telcom. Mr. Yates holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Oklahoma and a law degree from the University of Houston School of Law and JD from the University of Houston College of Law.
