Tzoyao Chan — Executive Vice President of Engineering at Pixelworks

Mr. Tzoyao Chan, also known as T, has been an Executive Vice President of Engineering at Pixelworks Inc. since July 2011. Dr. Chan served as Senior Vice President of Engineering at Pixelworks Inc. from January 2009 to July 2011. He served as General Manager and Executive Senior Vice President of C2 Microsystems,Inc. He served as the Senior Vice President of Engineering for TZero Technologies, Inc. since August 2006. He has 25 years experience in semiconductor engineering for the PC and Consumer Electronics markets. Dr. Chan served as the Senior Vice President of Product Development of Genesis Microchip Inc. He joined Genesis in May 1999 as the result of the merger with Paradise Electronics. From 1997 to 1999, he served as the Vice President of Engineering at Paradise Electronics, Inc. From 1999 to 2006, he held the position of Vice President and then Senior Vice President of Engineering with Genesis Microchip, Inc. At Genesis, Dr. Chan was responsible for all product development and led a team of over 200 engineers worldwide. Dr. Chan served as a Director of Engineering for Cirrus Logic Inc. from 1993 to 1997. He also served various engineering and management positions at leading chip-design companies including Bell Labs Inc. (now Lucent Technology), Intel Corp., LSI Logic Corporation, Chips & Technologies and S3 Inc. Dr. Chan registered 11 U.S. patents in the areas of computer architecture, mixed-signal design and MPEG technologies. He holds a B.S. degree from National Taiwan University, an M.S. degree from State University of New York at Stony Brook. Dr. Chan holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Arizona.
