M. John Midea Jr. — Senior Vice President of Global Operations & Process Improvement at PolyOne Corporation

Mr. M. John Midea, Jr., has been Senior Vice President of Global Operations and Process Improvement at PolyOne Corporation since February 2015. Mr. Midea leads global operational excellence initiatives, including manufacturing process improvement, environmental health and safety, global sourcing and logistics, Lean Six Sigma training and deployment and acquisition integration. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President at Resco Products, Inc. since August 7, 2012. He served as the President of Flint Trading, Inc. He served as the President and Chief Operating Officer at Ennis-Flint Inc. (Also known as Ennis Traffic Safety Solutions Inc.) since 2008. In this capacity, he directed global strategy and operations for the approximately $500 million traffic safety and infrastructure company with operations in 9 countries. He served as President of Ennis Paint, Inc. Along with his contributions in Ennis' organic growth, he was also responsible for the successful integration of 6 acquisitions and in the creation of 4 joint ventures, critical components in growing Ennis from $340 million to $528 million in sales. Prior to joining Ennis, he held various senior leadership positions at The Valspar Corporation and Georgia-Pacific Corporation. He spent 12 years at Valspar Corporation with increasing roles of responsibility, including vice president, where he was accountable for the North American segment of its liquid, powder, electrocoat and after market specialty chemical businesses. He served in the Navy for six years as a Submarine Officer. Mr. Midea graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1987 and was selected for the Naval Nuclear program upon graduation. He earned his MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
