Mr. Sandeep Nayyar has been the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance at Power Integrations Inc. since June 25, 2010. Mr. Nayyar served as an Assistant Controller of Applera Corporation since 2002. He has experience in complex technology companies in the semiconductor, life sciences and storage industries. He served as the Vice President of Finance of Applied Biosystems Inc. from 2001 to 2009. He served as a Vice President of Finance of Applied Biosystems Group, a subsidiary of Applera Corporation. since 2002. He served as an Assistant Controller of Applied Biosystems Inc. since April 5, 2002. Mr. Nayyar was responsible for Applied Biosystems finance and accounting worldwide. He served as an Assistant Controller of Celera Corporation. Previously, he served as Vice President and Controller for Applied Biosystems. Prior to Applied Biosystems, Mr. Nayyar served as a Vice President of Finance at the Hard Disk Drive Group of the Quantum Corporation from 2000 to 2001 and was responsible for financial forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, quarterly earnings communications, cash management, quarterly price negotiations with manufacturing partners and business management. From 1990 to 2001, Mr. Nayyar served in various senior finance roles at Quantum Corporation. Prior to Quantum, he served as a Vice President of Finance for the High-End Storage Division from 1998 to 2000, Director of Finance for the Corporate Finance Group from 1997 to 1998 and Controller of the High Capacity Storage Group from 1994 to 1997. Prior to joining Quantum, Mr. Nayyar served as an Audit Manager of Ernst & Young from 1986 to 1990. He has been an Independent Director of SMART Global Holdings, Inc. since September 2014. He is a Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Mr. Nayyar holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Delhi, India in 1979.
