Mr. Michael L. McCleary, C.P.A., has been Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller of PriceSmart Inc. since December 2003. Mr. McCleary's responsibilities in PriceSmart include: leading the Corporate accounting team; coordination of consolidated financial reporting; domestic and international tax planning, compliance and dispute management; implementation of and ongoing compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley; and oversight of the internal audit function. Mr. McCleary joined PriceSmart, Inc. on December 19, 2003 as Vice President and Corporate Controller. Mr. McCleary has over 20 years of international finance and accounting experience. This experience includes working as a senior auditor for Arthur Andersen in Los Angeles and Madrid (Spain). Also in Madrid, through his role as Chief Accounting Officer, Mr. McCleary took public Amadeus GTD, a company that provides distribution and IT services to the travel industry. Mr. McCleary serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Real Estate Development Joint Ventures in Panama and Costa Rica.
