Mr. Michael L. Mark founded American Energy Services Inc. in 1978 and served as its President. Mr. Mark is an active private investor in early-stage ventures. He served as the Vice President of System Integrations at Interleaf Inc. since 1985. He co-founded Cadmus Computer Corp in 1982 and served as its Vice President of Corporate Development. He has been a Director of Progress Software of Progress Software Corporation since September 19, 2017. He co-founded Intercomp, a peripheral manufacturer, where he served as President. He has personally invested at early stages of both high-tech and low-tech companies, including Progress Software, Interleaf, Stonyfield Farm Yogurt, Netegrity, Optimax, Explore Technology, Abuzz Technologies, Wild Planet Toys, Kurzweil Educational Technologies, Latina Magazine, Exos and Constant Contact. Mr. Mark served as Non-Executive Chairman of Progress Software Corp. from December 19, 2006 to March 2009 and served as its Lead Independent Director from March 30, 2009 to April 2011. He serves as a Director of Neon Systems, Inc. He serves as a Board Member of Kurzweil Educational Systems, Inc. He has been an Independent Director of Progress Software Corporation since July 1987 and served as its Lead Independent Director until September 19, 2017. Mr. Mark served as a Director of Incentive Targeting Inc. He served as a Director of Netegrity, Inc. since October 1994. He is Private Investor and Member of Walnut Venture Associates. He received a B.S. in Mathematics from MIT in 1967.
