David Metcalfe — Executive VP & CTO at Quality Systems

Mr. David A. Metcalfe has been the Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President of Quality Systems Inc., since February 1, 2016. Mr. Metcalfe has 30 years of experience, including leadership of large, global, cross-functional teams and the development, delivery and support of enterprise software solutions, having spent the past 11 years working in the healthcare IT industry. He served as Vice President of Research and Development at Becton, Dickinson & Company, a leading worldwide medical technology company, from March 2015 to January 2016. He served as Vice President of Product Development at CareFusion Corp., a global medical technology company servicing the critical care market, from September 2012 to March 2015, at which time CareFusion was acquired by Becton, Dickinson & Company. He was director of software engineering at Hill-Rom IT Solutions from 2004 to 2008. From 2008 to 2012, he served as Vice President of Development at Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, a provider of healthcare information technology solutions. Earlier in his career, he held senior-level research and development positions with increasing responsibility at various global technology companies. Mr. Metcalfe holds a Bachelor of Science in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from Teesside University in Middlesbrough, England.
