Randall J. Steward — Chief Financial Officer at Quidel Corporation

Mr. Randall J. Steward, also known as Randy, has been the Chief Financial Officer of Quidel Corp. since October 31, 2011. Mr. Steward has more than 35 years of experience in accounting and finance. He served as the Chief Financial Officer for Navilyst Medical, Inc. From 2008 to January 2011, Mr. Steward served as the Chief Operating Officer for SeQual Technologies, Inc., where he was responsible for all aspects of Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance and Information Systems. Mr. Steward served as Executive Vice President of Spectrum Brands, Inc. (formerly, Rayovac Corp.) since August 2002 until June 6, 2007, Chief Financial Officer since April 1998 until December 2001 and again from August 2002 to June 6, 2007 and also served as its Principal Accounting Officer. He served as Executive Vice President of Administration at Spectrum Brands from October 1999 to December 2001. Mr. Steward initially joined Spectrum Brands in March 1998 as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and served as its Senior Vice President of Finance since April 1998 until October 1999. From October 1997 to March 1998, Mr. Steward served as an Independent Consultant, primarily with Thermoscan, Inc. and Braun AG, assisting with financial and operational issues. From March 1996 to September 1997, Mr. Steward served as President and General Manager of Thermoscan, Inc. From January 1992 to March 1996, he served as an Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer of Thermoscan, Inc. Mr. Steward is a Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Steward holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from Southern Methodist University.
