Executive Bio
Mr. Timothy Matson, also known as Tim, CFA is the Chief Investment Officer at Reinsurance Group of America Inc. since August 18, 2014 and its Executive Vice President. Prior to that, Mr. Matson was the Chief Investment Officer at Cathay Conning Asset Management Limited since March 28, 2012. Previously, he was the Chief Investment Officer and Regional Head of Fixed Income at ING Investment Management Asia Pacific (Hong Kong) Limited, where he had responsibility for setting strategic asset allocation, establishing and monitoring investment mandates and performance and advising on investments for the U.S. general account. Prior to that, Mr. Matson spent 10 years as Regional Head of Fixed Income at ING Investment Management, with responsibility for proprietary and third-party assets. Previously, he was the Chief Investment Officer at Aetna International's insurance subsidiary and also worked at Aeltus Investment Management. Mr. Matson has extensive experience in the insurance industry. He is a member of the Hartford CFA Society. Mr. Matson is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He holds an M.B.A. and B.A. degree from Cornell University.
