Diversity and Inclusion at Ribbon
To help open the doors to home ownership, our teams must reflect the diverse communities we serve across the US. Improving access to home ownership is essential to investing in our communities, and creating a more just society especially for historically excluded populations. Our commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity not only reflects our values as an organization but also enriches our ability to do this work. By striving to represent the communities we serve, we’re able to center on the social responsibility that drives the work we do.
Part of our approach to creating inclusive culture in partnership with our people is to foster community through our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). Each of our nine (and growing!) ERG’s is created by employees to build community, mentorship, and support for identifying members and their allies. ERGs have annual budgets, organize internal and external activities, and ERG leadership teams meet regularly to track initiatives and discuss membership feedback. These communities contribute to critical conversations about how we can grow as a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace. In addition to our current ERGs, our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee partners across teams and departments to develop strategic DEI initiatives, educational opportunities, and internal growth.
