James S. DeGraw — Partner at Ropes & Gray

Mr. James S. DeGraw has been employed at Ropes & Gray LLP in the position of Partner since August 2007. DeGraw is a partner in Ropes & Gray's Corporate Department. Mr. DeGraw typically provides clients, especially those in technology and life sciences industries, with advice on intellectual property creation and exploitation; the structuring and funding of ventures built around intellectual assets; intellectual property, technology and commercial transactions; the formation and management of strategic alliances and outsourcing relationships; and acquisitions and dispositions of businesses. He is the former Co-Chair of the Boston Bar Association's Intellectual Property Section and Committee, Speaker on technology and licensing matters, including presentations to the Licensing Executive Society, Association of University Technology Managers, the Berkman Center for Internet & Society, Council on Governmental Relations; American Health Lawyers Association, Stanford, University, Boston Bar Association, and Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc. He is a member of Boston Bar Association, Licensing Executive Society, International Trademark Association, Massachusetts Bar Association and Regis Bar Association.
