Executive Bio

Mr. Richard J. Lettieri is a Partner at Ropes & Gray. He specializes in public development projects, particularly those that involve redevelopment of under-utilized government-owned assets. He has extensive experience in numerous aspects and phases of the government development process (including privatization transactions): from early planning and feasibility through environmental review, developer selection, of development agreements, financing and construction bidding and contracting. In recent years he has been involved in various aspects of a number of extensive school reconstruction programs undertaken by various municipalities. His involvement in these projects includes compliance with public bid requirements, Project Labor Agreements, Owner Controlled Insurance Programs (OCIP) and construction contracts. Lettieri has also spent almost twenty-five (25) years in addressing and resolving a wide variety of airport regulatory, development, environmental and operational matters. These activities include compliance with various provisions of the Federal Aviation statutes and Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), including FAR Parts 107, 139, 150 and 161 and analysis of special landing fee structures to address peak period congestion levels. Lettieri graduated from Villanova University (1969), and earned a J.D. from Boston College Law School (1974).
