Mr. Stephen M. Butz has been the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President at Rowan Companies plc since December 1, 2014. Mr. Butz served as Treasurer of Rowan Companies plc from December 1, 2014 to February 2016. Mr. Butz served as the Chief Financial Officer of Hercules Offshore, Inc. from May 2010 to November 21, 2014 and Executive Vice President from January 24, 2013 to November 21, 2014. Mr. Butz joined Hercules as Director of Corporate Development since February 2005 and served as its Treasurer since November 2006. He served as Senior Vice President of Hercules Offshore Inc., from May 2010 to January 24, 2013. He served as Vice President of Finance at Hercules Offshore Inc. from November 2006 to May 2010. He served as an Equity Analyst at Jefferies LLC, Research Division. Prior to Hercules, Mr. Butz served as a Consultant to both Noble Corporation and Hercules. He served as an Equity Research Analyst at various investment banks including Deutsche Bank and Jefferies & Company, Inc., Research Division from 1996 to 2004. Mr. Butz served in the commercial banking industry in corporate lending and credit from 1993 to 1995. He serves as a Director at Discovery Offshore S.A. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from University of Texas at Austin.
