Zinan Liu — President of China and North Asia Pacific Region at Royal Caribbean International

Dr. Zinan Liu is the President of China and North Asia Pacific Region at Royal Caribbean International, Ltd. since June 15, 2015. Dr. Liu oversees all commercial and operational activities for three of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.'s brands, Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Cruises. Dr. Liu has over 10 years of experience helping brands grow globally. Dr. Liu served as Managing Director of China and Asia at Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. He served as Managing Director of Operations in China at Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. since January 2009. He served as director of sales and account management for one of the world's leading travel management companies, Hogg Robinson Group. Previously, he served as Vice President of China business for Crosby MTM Ltd., where he assisted major western companies expand in China. Dr. Liu was also a senior lecturer in economics for seven years at London Metropolitan University. He serves as Chairman of CLIA North Asia of Cruise Lines International Association, Inc. In 1983, Dr. Liu graduated from the Shanghai Maritime University with a degree in shipping management. He also has a degree in economics from the United Nations, APEC program, which is sponsored by the Norwegian government and taught by British professors. In 1992, Dr. Liu obtained a PhD in economics from Queen Mary College at the University of London.
