Mr. Steve Biegel serves as Executive Managing Director at Newmark & Company Real Estate, Inc. Mr. Biegel serves as Executive Vice President and Co-Branch Manager at Savills Studley, Inc. He serves as the Chair of Savills Studley's Law Firm Practice Group, which consists of over 30 senior professionals from Savills Studley offices throughout the country who each specialize in law firm representation. He served as Senior Vice President of Savills Studley, Inc. He began his commercial real estate career in 1981 as an attorney with Andrews Kurth. Throughout his 17-year tenure with A&K, he advised tenants and landlords on complex lease transactions in Houston and throughout the U.S., including over 5 million square feet of office leases. He also represented developers, investors and institutional lenders in all aspects of commercial real estate acquisition, development, financing and disposition and worked on numerous master limited partnerships, REITs and other financial market transactions. He served as Chair of the Real Estate Law Section of the Houston Bar Association from 1998 to 1999, is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and The Houston Bar Foundation. Mr. Biegel holds Bachelors of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin (UT) in 1978, with majors in Finance and Real Estate and earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence with Honors from UT in 1981.
