Mr. Ryan M. Bohr, CPA has been the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President at School Specialty, Inc. since June 8, 2017 and October 27, 2014 respectively and serves as its Chief Financial Officer since October 27, 2014. Mr. Bohr serves as Managing Director of Torch Lake Capital Partners, L.P. Mr. Bohr Co-founded Torch Lake Capital Partners. Mr. Bohr served as a Principal of Hilco Equity Partners and joined it during its formation in 2003. While with Hilco, he played a key role in all aspects of the Fund's activities, including fundraising, day-to-day operations for certain portfolio companies and execution of investment strategy across the consumer and industrial industries. He served as an Analyst of KPMG LLP. He lead transactions through both in court and out of court restructurings and has developed a focus within the food manufacturing arena. He served as an Associate at Thoma Cressey Equity Partners. Mr. Bohr is a Senior Executive with close to 20 years of operations and finance leadership experience, primarily within private equity owned businesses. He served as an Associate of Thoma Cressey Bravo. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Fresh Matters, LLC. At Fresh Matters, LLC, he helped the structure a capital infusion and bridge financing; successfully relocated its primary production line; and established a multi-year contract manufacturing agreement. Throughout his career, he specialized in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate financing, investment strategies and execution and driving operational improvement plans. He was also instrumental in the creation of a national broker and distribution network, which led to impressive growth. He was responsible for the development and implementation of new accounting and reporting systems, inventory management controls and various operational efficiency programs. He served as an Associate in the Corporate Finance Group at William Blair & Company, L.L.C., where Mr. Bohr focused on the execution of private and public equity financings, mergers and acquisitions and strategic advisory assignments for middle-market companies. He began his professional career at KPMG Peat Marwick working in both the financial services audit practice and the Transaction Services advisory group. He serves as a Board Member of Natural Food Holdings and Board Advisor for Fresh Matters, LLC. He serves as a Trustee of College Preparatory High School, Marmion Academy. He serves as a Director of Awrey Bakeries, LLC, Sioux-Preme Packing Co., Niman Ranch, Inc., Prairie Grove Farms of Iowa, LLC and Effigi, Inc. He served as a Director of J.W. Fergusson & Sons, LLC and Midwest Finishing Products, Inc. He is a C.P.A. Mr. Bohr holds a B.B.A. degree in Accounting from The University of Notre Dame.
