Overall, it's been great. I feel supported, challenged, and appreciated. I think after the layoffs, the team lost a bit of morale, but we also understand that they needed to happen. We appreciate that Rob and Jon are really trying to build a sustainable company and product with happy employees.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I appreciate that the company invests in their employees in a holistic sense. With growth opportunity, support for mental and physical health, and (of course) lessening the burden of commuting!
What do you like best about the leadership team?
My manager seems to have a very good understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of their team. They're always straightforward with me. They are understanding, supportive, and have a way of reminding me that I bring value to the team.
What did you like most about the interview process?
The recruiters were excellent at communicating with me every step of the way. My hiring manager was very involved as well. I could already see the Scoop culture, and I could tell that I wanted to be a part of it.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The people I work with are competitive with themselves, not each other. They truly want to grow and do better, they truly want their peers to grow and do better. It's a culture of lifting each other and the company up to achieve the best we can as one unit.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I'm so grateful to have so many people that I can ask questions to and that are eager to help. I'm grateful that Scoop encourages us not just to recognize each other's names and faces, but also to understand each other. Whether that's via communication styles, cultural differences, or work styles.
What makes you most happy at work?
Personally, I'm happiest at work when I know where I stand. When I know what I've been doing well, when I know what I have to work on. I really appreciate that on top of 1:1s with my manager, Scoop has been making an effort to encourage feedback between team members and peers company-wide.
