He served as Vice President and Chief Patent Counsel for Genetics Institute Inc. and held several intellectual property positions at EWyeth Pharmaceuticals, Genetics Institute, I. DuPont de Nemours and Company and New England Nuclear Corp. He has more than 30 years of global biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry experience. He has been a Director of Optimer Pharmaceuticals, Inc., since October 24, 2013. Mr. DesRosier earned a JD from Wake Forest University School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Vermont.
