Mr. Michael J. Schmidtberger, also known as Mike, serves as Managing Partner of New York Office and Co-Leader of Global Investment Funds, Advisers & Derivatives Practice at Sidley Austin LLP. Mr. Schmidtberger has been a Partner of Sidley Austin Brown & Wood since 1993. Mr. Schmidtberger served as Co-Leader of Investment Funds, Advisers & Derivatives Practice at Sidley Austin LLP. Mr. Schmidtberger joined Sidley Austin Brown & Wood in 1990. He regularly advises and represents clients in domestic and international offerings of hedge funds, fund of funds, commodity pools and structured derivative and principal-protected transactions. He was a member of the New York City Bar Association Committee on Futures Regulation from 1997 to 2000. Mr. Schmidtberger completed JD from Columbia University School of Law in 1985 and BA, cum laude, from Columbia College in 1982.
