Mr. Scott A. Shay is a General Partner and Partner of The Hyperion Group. He serves as a General Partner at Hyperion Israel Venture Partners. Mr. Shay also serves as Vice President and Treasurer at the Jewish Youth Connection Inc. He served as Managing Director of Ranieri & Co. Inc. since its formation in 1988. He served as a Vice President at Bank United Corp. from 1988 to July 15, 1996. He has nearly 25 years of investment banking and venture capital expertise. Prior to joining Ranieri & Co. Inc., he served as a senior member of the mergers and acquisitions department at Salomon Brothers from 1980 to 1988. He was involved with Salomon's thrift mergers and acquisitions practice and with mortgage banking financing and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Shay is Founder of Signature Bank. Mr. Shay is Co-Founder of Signature Bank and has been its the Executive Chairman since 2000. He served as an Acting Chairman of Allied Healthcare International Inc. from September 1996 to January 1997 and served as its Director from January 1996 to August 2007. He serves as a Director of Signature Securities Group. He also serves as a Director of Hyperion Capital Inc., iOwn.com and Transworld Healthcare Inc. He serves as a Director at ROOT Exchange, Capital Lease Funding LP, SuperDerivatives Inc. and Hapoalim U.S.A. Holding Company Inc. He serves as a Director of other direct and indirect subsidiaries of Hyperion Partners II LP. He serves as a Director of the general partner of Cardworks, LP and Shellpoint Partners LLC. Mr. Shay served as a Director of Bank Hapoalim BM from November 1995 to August 18, 2005. He served as a Director of Allied Healthcare (UK) and TWUK, both of which are U.K. subsidiaries of Allied Healthcare International Inc. He served as a Director of Bank United Corp. and Federally Chartered Savings Bank, since 1988. He served as a Director of Root Markets, Inc. and Salomon Brothers Inc. Mr. Shay holds Master of Management degree with distinction from Northwestern's Kellogg Graduate School of Management and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Northwestern University with a B.A. in Economics.
