Peter Gammel Ph.D. — Chief Technology Officer at Skyworks Solutions

Mr. Peter L. Gammel, Ph.D. has been the Chief Technology Officer of SiGe Semiconductor, Inc. since July 2007 and serves as Vice President of its Engineering. Mr. Gammel has been Chief Technology Officer of Skyworks Solutions Inc. since May 2013. He is responsible for generating technology and product roadmaps and identifying new application opportunities at SiGe Semiconductor, Inc. He also work closely with external partners, internal engineering and marketing groups to exploit SiGe Semiconductor, Inc.'s capabilities in the wireless consumer electronics market segments. He has 20 years experience in new product and funding development, intellectual property investment and team building and management. Mr. Gammel served as Interim Chief Technology Officer of Owlstone Inc. He served as Vice President of Engineering at a venture backed start-up company. He served as a Senior Vice President of Electronics of Advance Nanotech, Inc. since July 1, 2005 and was responsible for managing all of its partnerships and investments in electronics-related nanotechnology companies. He served as Chief Technology Officer of Agere Systems' Analog Products Division where he was responsible for the technology and roadmaps for high frequency power transistor products. He served as Director of Materials Physics Research at Lucent Technologies and in several leadership positions at&T Bell Laboratories. He served as Chairman Technology Advisory Board of Advance Nanotech, Inc. He served as Director of Owlstone Inc. Mr. Gammel served as a Director of Advance Nanotech, Inc. from September 2008 to September 22, 2009 and from August 2006 to November 13, 2006. He served as a Member of Technology Advisory Board of Advance Nanotech, Inc. since August 2006. His technical expertise coverers single electron devices, superconducting devices, MEMS and RF acoustic wave devices. He conducted research at several leading universities, including Cornell University, M.I.T. and Washington University. Mr. Gammel is responsible for approximately 50 patent filings and more than 200 publications through his work with Agere, Lucent, AT&T Bell Labs, Cornell University and M.I.T. Mr. Gammel holds a PhD in Physics from Cornell University and Bachelor of Science degrees in Physics and Mathematics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
