Mr. Matthew Robert Pollak, also known as Matt, has been the Chief Accounting Officer, Vice President and Treasurer at State Auto Financial Corp. since April 2013. Mr. Pollak serves as Chief Financial Officer of Access CoverageCorp, Inc. Prior to joining Access CoverageCorp.com., he served as Corporate Controller for InServe Corp. He served as Vice President of Corporate Finance and Accounting, for American Safety Insurance Holdings, Ltd. since 2010. Mr. Pollak served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the excess and surplus lines segment of Argo Group International Holdings, Ltd. from 2005 to 2010. Mr. Pollak has over 25 years of experience in both public accounting and the property and casualty insurance industry. From June 1994 to October 1997, Mr. Pollak served as the controller for a regional insurance company based in Greensboro, N.C. From August 1987 to June 1994, Mr. Pollak held various positions on the audit staff of Ernst & Young in its Winston-Salem, N.C., office. He is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Pollak holds a master's degree in business administration from the Wake Forest University Babcock Graduate School of Management and a bachelor's degree in accounting from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
