David Thomson — Chief Information Officer at Staypineapple

Having founded, run and sold small businesses, I bring a blend of business acumen with strong information systems knowledge. I innovate in-room technology and oversee all IT infrastructure for the Staypineapple brand of hotels and restaurants. Originally an entrepreneur, I started my IT career founding a web application development and data center services company. After building the business up to seven employees, I eventually sold it. After a short stint doing consulting, I was recruited to start a new IT services department for an existing business. During this two year period, I built up a large client list and helped optimize the companies’ point of sale and virtual server architecture. Having been the IT consultant for what would become Pineapple Hospitality, I was recruited to join this growing company directly in my current capacity. I will continue to lead and push for technology innovation throughout all touch points. My downtime is spent with my family, coaching my kids, enjoying our PNW skiing and outdoor activities.
