Ms. Katherine Edna Breedis, CFA, CMT, has been Managing Director and Senior Analyst at Stifel Financial Corp. and Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, Incorporated, Research Division since October 2015. Ms. Breedis covers the biotechnology and major pharmaceuticals sectors as a part of the healthcare research team. Prior to this, Ms. Breedis served as Senior Director of Corporate Strategy at Pfizer Inc. From 2009 to 2012, she served as Senior Director of Global External Research and Development for Eli Lilly & Company. Prior to joining the pharmaceutical industry, she served as an Equity Analyst both on the buy-side and sell-side. On the sell-side, she served as a Senior Analyst at Goldman Sachs Group Inc., Research Division and covered the specialty pharmaceuticals sector from 2000 to 2003. On the buy-side, she was a Healthcare Equity Analyst at Schroder Investment Management from 2004 to 2008. She was also the Global Medical Technology Equity Analyst at Citigroup Asset Management from 1998 to 2000. She began her career as a banker at Citibank and held several other senior positions in leveraged corporate finance and merchant banking. Ms. Breedis has a unique combination of pharmaceutical industry and biotech business development experience and has a distinguished career within large pharmaceutical companies, as well as equity research experience both on the buy-side and sell-side. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Market Technician. Ms. Breedis received her B.A. in Economics and Art History from Wheaton College.
