Richard L. Vieira — Vice Chairman of Technology Group at Stifel Financial Corp.

Mr. Richard L. Vieira has been Vice Chairman of Technology Group at Stifel Financial Corp. since March 2016. Mr. Vieira focuses on software. Mr. Vieira is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at 2SV Capital LLC. He has over 20 years of technology investment banking experience. He specializes in enterprise infrastructure systems, storage and security management, enterprise application middleware and development and business intelligence. He served as Managing Director and Head of Technology Investment & Corporate Banking at BMO Capital Markets Corp. since March 2011. He served as a Managing Director at Broadview International LLC and at Jefferies &Co. He served as Managing Director at Jefferies Broadview. Mr. Vieira led Jefferies' software and services coverage efforts completed numerous transactions with leading technology companies across North America, Europe and Israel. At Jefferies & Co., he was responsible for steering the software coverage and corporate finance efforts and focused on advising clients in the software and infrastructure markets. Mr. Vieira has completed transactions and corporate finance offerings involving major vendors including IBM, Oracle, HP, BMC, Symantec, among several others. He has led transactions such as the acquisition of JBoss, the acquisition of Sleepycat Software, the acquisition of AppIQ, the acquisition of Relicore, the acquisition of Segue Software and also led Jefferies Broadview's role in the IPO of Vistaprint. Mr. Vieira has also led several notable merger and acquisition transactions including the acquisition of Exstream Software and the acquisition of Authorize.Net. Previously, Mr. Vieira served in the investment banking division at Goldman Sachs and served as a Consultant at America Online. He serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of AvePoint, Heroix and Worcester Air. Mr. Vieira serves as a Board Observer of NetQoS. He serves as a Member of Advisory Board at The Phoenix Group, LLC. He served as a Director of Fortisphere, Inc. since December 2007. Mr. Vieira serves on the Board of Overseers of Children's Hospital in Massachusetts and is a Member of Young President Organization and a Member of the Board of Trustees of The Pike School in Andover. Mr. Vieira holds an M.B.A. degree from Harvard Business School and B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology graduating with First Class Honors.
