Sujit Kankanwadi — SVP, Finance and Chief Accounting Officer at Synopsys Inc
Executive Bio
Sujit Kankanwadi joined Synopsys in 2010 and currently serves as the Chief Accounting Officer. Sujit is a highly accomplished and focused finance executive with proven competencies and responsibilities in controllership, revenue and order management, finance digitalization, and shared services.
With his integrity and innovation, Sujit has a proven track record for business transformation and building strong and efficient teams, as well as working collaboratively across functions, focusing on compliance and accountability to deliver results. In his role, Sujit has effectively scaled his organization by expanding the shared services organization, successfully implemented the latest technology platforms for Finance, and is leading the digital finance strategy and implementation for the CFO organization. Additionally, he serves as the Chief Finance Officer of Synopsys Foundation. Sujit was also a member of the AICPA task force for software industries involved in developing implementation guides for new revenue rules.
Earlier in his career, Sujit was with KPMG, where he served various large multi-nationals in the US and in India; led audit and advisory teams in IPO listing; and spent time at the Global Center developing worldwide audit methodologies.
Sujit also serves as a lecturer teaching advanced accounting at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He is an active CPA and holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Commerce and is a Chartered Accountant in India.
