Dr. Joanne Spadoro, Ph.D. has been the Chief Operating Officer of T2 Biosystems, Inc. since September 13, 2016. Dr. Spadoro served as the Chief Scientific Officer and General Manager BioArray Solutions at Immucor. Dr. Spadoro has over 20 years of experience in the molecular diagnostics industry. She served as a Senior Vice President at Roche Molecular Systems (RMS) heading the global development and operations functions. During her 19 year tenure at RMS, she led the development of many of the amplification based systems and tests that pioneered the introduction of molecular based tests into the mainstream diagnostics and blood screening markets. Additionally, she was responsible for the worldwide manufacture and quality control of all the reagent kits contained in the RMS portfolio. Following her time at RMS, she headed her own consulting business advising companies on IVD development, manufacture and quality systems. She served as a Member of Scientific Advisory Board at T2 Biosystems, Inc. until September 13, 2016. Dr. Spadoro received her bachelor's degree from Douglass College and her Ph.D. in cell biology from the University of Connecticut.
