Dr. Mary Lynne Hedley, Ph.D. co-founded Tesaro, Inc. in March 2010 and has been its President since March 2010 and Chief Operating Officer since July 24, 2014. Dr. Hedley served as the Chief Scientific Officer of Tesaro, Inc. from March 2010 to July 24, 2014. She served as the Chief Scientific Officer and Executive Vice President of Operations at Abraxis BioScience, Inc. from July 2009 to February 4, 2010. She served as the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Scientific Officer and President of MGI Pharma Biologics, Inc. She served as the Chief Scientific Officer and Senior Vice President of MGI Pharma, Inc., since October 2005 and served as its Executive Vice President since August 2006. She served as an Executive Vice President of Eisai Corporation of North America following Eisai's acquisition of MGI PHARMA, INC. from January 2008 to July 2009. She joined MGI PHARMA in 2004. She co-founded ZYCOS, Inc., and served as its Chief Executive Officer, President, Vice President of Research and as Senior Vice President of Research & Development since 1996. She has been a Director of Millendo Therapeutics, Inc. since April 11, 2017, Tesaro, Inc. since March 2010 and bluebird bio, Inc September 20, 2017. She serves as a Directors of Youville Place. She served as a Director of MGI Pharma Biologics, Inc. She served as a Director of Receptos, Inc. from April 11, 2014 to August 27, 2015. She is a named inventor on multiple patents in the field of immunology and has been widely published in a variety of peer-reviewed journals. She is the recipient of multiple awards and fellowships, is a frequent Guest Lecturer and An Active Volunteer in educational as well as local community organizations. Dr. Hedley's early research career consisted of two consecutive Postdoctoral Fellowships at Harvard University from 1989 to 1996. During her Post-Doctoral studies at Harvard University and in conjunction with other scientists, she co-invented the core technology underlying MGI Pharma Biologics platform. She is Co-Inventor of ZYCOS' microparticle delivery technology. Dr. Hedley holds a B.S. degree in Microbiology from Purdue University and Ph.D. in Molecular Immunology from University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center.
