Dr. Jeffrey H. Hanke, also known as Jeff, Ph.D. has been the Chief Scientific Officer and Executive Vice President of Research & Development at Tesaro, Inc. since June 29, 2015. Dr. Hanke served as Vice President of Cancer Care Discovery of AstraZeneca. He joined AstraZeneca from Pfizer, where he managed discovery teams in the areas of immunology, inflammation, allergy/respiratory and cancer from 1993 to 1999. In addition, he helped to establish Pfizer's Discovery Technology Center, located in Cambridge, Mass., which focuses on applying new technologies to drug discovery. He has been a Member of Scientific Advisory Board at GNS Healthcare, Inc. since April 2008 and Gene Network Sciences, Inc. since April 2008. Dr. Hanke received his M.S. in Biology from Fordham University and his Ph.D. in Immunology and Microbiology from Baylor College of Medicine in 1986. He completed his Post-Doctoral Training at Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.
