Ms. Linda V. Tiano, Esq., has been Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel of Healthfirst, Inc. since 2016. Ms. Tiano served as a Partner of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP since June 2015. Ms. Tiano served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Empire HealthChoice HMO, Inc. Ms. Tiano served as the President for Regional Health Plans of Health Net of the Northeast Inc. since December 14, 2009. She joined Health Net in February 2007. Ms. Tiano served as Senior Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel of Health Net of the Northeast Inc. from February 1, 2007 to December 14, 2009. She served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of WellChoice Inc., since August 2002. Ms. Tiano served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Empire HealthChoice (formerly, Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield), a subsidiary of WellChoice, Inc. since September 1995. She served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of HealthChoice, a subsidiary of WellChoice Inc. She served as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at East Region and National Accounts at WellPoint. Prior thereto, from 1992 to 1995, Ms. Tiano served as Vice President of Legal and Government Affairs and General Counsel at MVP Health Plan, a HMO located in upstate New York. From 1990 to 1992, Ms. Tiano served as a Partner of Epstein Becker and Green, P.C. She served as an Executive Editor of the American Journal of Law & Medicine. She has published extensively in the health law area and is a regular speaker at industry conferences. She serves as a Member of the New York Bar. She served as an Adjunct Faculty Member at the New York University Graduate School of Public Administration. She has over 30 years of experience serving healthcare industry clients in both legal and executive capacities. She focused her practice on managed care, handling a wide range of regulatory and transactional matters for health plans, providers and others, such as specialty networks, care management companies and related entities. Ms. Tiano holds J.D. from Boston University Law School and B.A. in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati.
