Executive Bio
Mr. Michael Honig serves as a Senior Vice President for Business Development and Analysis of HealthFirst Inc. Mr. Honig is responsible for the analysis of health care performance, product pricing and evaluation of new business opportunities. Mr. Honig is also responsible for the development of more than a dozen managed care plans in the tri-state area including: Health Partners of Philadelphia, Mercy Health Plan of Pennsylvania, Yale Preferred Health in Connecticut and, under the auspices of the Greater New York Hospital Association, the creation of HealthFirst. Mr. Honig joined HealthFirst in September of 1999. Mr. Honig has worked in managed care for over 30 years. Mr. Honig served as President of Fairfield Health Plan (FHP) since 1977 and President of American Health Management and Consulting Corporation (AHMAC) since 1991. At AHMAC, Mr. Honig specialized in the development of provider sponsored health plans.
