The Nature Conservancy is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in its workforce and the communities we serve. Under the leadership of our Chief Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer, James Page Jr., TNC is working on the following DEI initiatives: Designs and helps to implement our global strategy, advises on incorporating diversity and inclusion into internal functions, engages with new constituencies and partners, including indigenous cultures, and consults on building conservation capacity that is sensitive to culture, gender, and other differences. The Nature Conservancy’s (TNC) Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) cultivate an inclusive workplace and organizational culture; help to empower and amplify a diverse and equitable workforce; raise awareness of issues faced by under-represented employees; and help TNC address systemic problems facing communities across TNC’s global footprint. The ERGs leverage the talent and wisdom that colleagues from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences bring to TNC. ERGs support organizational effectiveness and innovation, broaden the constituency for conservation and ultimately, improve conservation outcomes for people and nature across the globe. Every ERG is open to people of different identities and lived experiences. Constituents and allies are all welcome. We're proud to have launched our first annual DEIJ (diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice) report in 2022!
