Mr. Garrett Brown has been a Member of Advisory Board at TMM, Inc. since November 1, 2012. Mr. Brown is the inventor of the Oscar-winning Steadicam(TM) camera stabilizer. He made his way by innovation: as an admen in the 1960s, a filmmaker and inventor in the 1970s, a clandestine radio humorist in the 1980s and an industry-changing sports videographer in the 1990s. He has recorded for MGM as a folksinger, made TV commercials, shot films for Sesame Street, and was the other half of the famous ad-lib radio duo for American Express and Molson Beer which was named by Ad Age as one of 100 Best Ad Campaigns of the Century. He shot over a hundred movies including Rocky, The Shining, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Philadelphia, and Return of The Jedi. He has worked with such directors as Woody Allen, Hal Ashby, John Alvidsen, Warren Beatty, Jonathan Demme, Terry Gilliam, Stanley Kubrick, Mike Nichols, Frank Oz, John Schlesinger, Martin Scorcese and Steven Spielberg. Mr. Brown was the recipient of Oscar for Scientific and Technical Achievement from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and an Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for his invention of the Steadicam. He holds 50 patents worldwide for camera devices including: Steadicam Merlin, a miniature version for camcorders; Skycam, the robot camera that flies on wires over sporting events; Mobycam, the underwater camera that chases the swimmers at the Olympics; the Emmy-award-winning Divecam and the ultra-light aerial film camera called SuperFlyCam. His new zeroG technology floats tools and reduces workplace injuries.
