Donald R. Marchand is Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of TransCanada Corporation (the ???Company???). Since joining the Company in 1994, Mr. Marchand has held a variety of progressively more senior roles with the organization and was appointed Vice-President, Finance and Treasurer in September 1999. Prior to coming to the Company, Mr. Marchand worked at Trizec Corporation Ltd. in a number of accounting and treasury roles as well as at Clarkson Gordon, a predecessor firm to Ernst & Young. Mr. Marchand is a Member of the Calgary Society of Financial Analysts and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta. Mr. Marchand holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with honours from the University of Manitoba. He earned his Chartered Accountant designation in 1988 and became a Chartered Financial Analyst in 1994.
