Eric Mazur Ph.D. — Chief Academic Advisor at Turning Technologies

Dr. Eric Mazur, Ph.D. Cofounded Learning Catalytics LLC in 2011. Dr. Mazur serves as Chief Academic Advisor of Turning Technologies, LLC. Dr. Mazur serves as a Member of Advisory Board of Allied Minds plc. Dr. Mazur is the creator of Peer Instruction, speaker on physics education and interactive teaching Dr. Mazur founded SiOnyx, Inc. in 2006 and serves as its Member of Scientific Advisory Board. Dr. Mazur is the Dean of Applied Physics and Balkanski Professor of Physics and Applied Physics at Harvard University. An internationally recognized scientist and researcher, he leads a vigorous research program in optical physics and supervises one of the largest research groups in the Physics Department at Harvard University. Dr. Mazur joined Harvard University's faculty in 1984 and obtained tenure six years later. He has chaired and organized national and international scientific conferences. Dr. Mazur serves as a Consultant to the electronics and telecommunications industries. He is author or co-author of 209 scientific publications and 12 patents. Dr. Mazur obtained a Ph.D. in Experimental Physics at the University of Leiden in the Netherlands in 1981.
