Executive Bio

Mr. Declan Moore has been Chief Executive Officer of National Geographic Partners at Twenty-First Century Fox, Inc. since November 2015. Mr. Moore served as the Chief Media Officer at National Geographic Society until November 2015. Mr. Moore served as an Executive Vice President of National Geographic Society and served as its President of National Geographic Publishing & Travel. Mr. Moore served as President of National Geographic Publishing & Digital Media at National Geographic Society. Mr. Moore served as President of Publishing and Executive Vice President at National Geographic Society since 2010. Mr. Moore was responsible for all editions of National Geographic, National Geographic Traveler, National Geographic Kids and National Geographic Little Kids magazines, as well as National Geographic Book Publishing, in all languages, including English. Mr. Moore served as Senior Vice President for National Geographic Publications and nationalgeographic.com and was its International Publisher from 2004 to 2009. He was responsible for all local-language editions of NG Publications and development of advertising and partner marketing programs for the English-language edition of National Geographic magazine and the Society's award-winning website, www.nationalgeographic.com. Mr. Moore started with National Geographic as Product Manager for International Video in 1995 and progressed to the international publishing division in 1999 where, as Director of Marketing and Business Development, he created marketing programs and managed marketing services for the global network of 33 local-language editions of National Geographic magazine, multiple local-language editions of NG Kids magazine and more than 150 local-language editions of NG books and electronic media. Prior to joining National Geographic, he worked for Pennsylvania-based direct marketer The Franklin Mint as European Sales Manager, managing both housefile and media promotions. Prior to immigrating to the United States, he served as the Product Manager for the Volkswagen Audi division of Motor Distributors Limited (franchisee at the time for VW Audi in Ireland). He started his career at Rathfarnham-based giftware manufacturer J.C. Walsh and Sons Ltd., opening the QVC account in the United States and developing a highly successful corporate sales program. He was named as one of Media and Marketing magazines' 40 under 40 in 2007. Mr. Moore graduated with a commerce degree from University College Dublin in 1987 and holds an MBA in Finance from the Kogod School of Business at American University in Washington D.C in 2005. He completed his degree-required Advanced Finance classes at the London Business School.
