At UncommonGoods, we're working to change the way business is done by making sustainability a part of every decision we make. We're steadily working to make UncommonGoods more environmentally friendly, socially responsible and an ever-more rewarding place to work.
In 2007, we became a founding member of an alliance of companies committed to using business as a force for good. By passing an in-depth screening, we officially became one of the first B Corporations. We're driven to continuously evaluate and improve ourselves, while spreading the word about certification. To date, more than 3,500 companies including Patagonia, Ben & Jerry’s, Allbirds, and King Arthur Baking Company have joined the B Corp community.
At Uncommon Goods, we use, and encourage our artists to use, recycled or sustainable materials whenever possible. We choose environmentally friendlier packing materials. Our catalog is printed on Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified paper. Our products have always been leather, feather, and fur-free.
You shop, we give! We partner with non-profit organizations through our Better to Give program. With every purchase you make, we're proud to donate $1 to a partner of your choice ($2 for Perks members). Since launching Better to Give in 2001, we've donated more than two million dollars to causes we care about. Through our Better to Give program, we've helped support worthy organizations including American Forests, International Rescue Committee, RAINN, and The Thurgood Marshall College Fund.
