Training for associates is poor. Management doesn't seem to have much concern about how this affects associates. Those who perform poorly seem to be rewarded while those who keep the boat from sinking receive little to no recognition and being promoted is out of the question.
Communication. And coming out of their offices from time to time.
Communication and policy decisions, as well as the use of company funds and the direction of the company. We're looking at a recession most likely this year but the company is heavily leveraged with debt from the past year. I don't believe that leadership has a game plan for an economic downturn.

This place makes u stay long hours that will drain u. Thet have wrong people working in wrong departments that will maybe do much better in other departments.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Communication is very poor from management. Its always a one way conversation

When I was hired, I felt like I got a promotion and a pay cut at the same time. The pay across the board varies so wildly. I have more responsibility than the selectors, but I get paid less.
Stock shares as a monthly payment, better base pay, affordable benefit,better 401k matching and more vacation cause I work hard.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Training and communication across departments need improvement
My coworkers are the best. We were #1 in the nation for 2 years straight. Just need to get back to it after a hard year that took a lot out of us.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Improved safety, getting off a mainframe, overhauling how every process works so there's more fail safes to ensure quality and accuracy.
Get rid of supervisors and management who bring a negative energy. Stop the blaming and finger pointing. Less negative reinforcement.

They dont listen to the customers request to simple things like shrink wrapping pallets

what's hard is that I work too much but I don't get enough time off and I don't get enough PTO to take time off when it matters and when I ask for time off I don't get it when it matters.

I think it's too late to right the ship. There are inherent flaws that I've seen not just at my location but nationwide. The problem is too big for me to come up with a solution, plus I don't get paid to worry about that nonsense. In a few years unfi will either survive or be limping badly.
