Michael Irizarry Ph.D. — Executive VP and CTO of Engineering & Information Services at United States Cellular Corporation

Mr. Michael S. Irizarry, Ph.D, has been Chief Technology Officer of Engineering and Information Services and Executive Vice President at United States Cellular Corporation since 2011. Mr. Irizarry served as Chief Technical Officer of United States Cellular Corporation since February 18, 2002 and Chief Technology Officer since 2003. He joined U.S. Cellular as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer in 2002. Mr. Irizarry served as an Executive Vice President of Engineering of United States Cellular Corp. since February 18, 2002. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Network, for the Midwest area at Verizon Wireless from 2000 to 2001. Mr. Irizarry served as an Executive Director of Network for the Southeast Region of Bell Atlantic Mobile since February 1996. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from Cleveland Technical College, a Master of Science in Information Management and an MBA from the International School of Information Management, and a Doctorate in Communications Technology from Capella University's School of Business and Technology. He is also a graduate of University of Chicago's executive management program.
