Peter C. Madeja — Chief Executive Officer of GENEX Services Inc and President of GENEX Services Inc at Unum Group

Mr. Peter C. Madeja serves as the Chief Executive Officer and President of GENEX Services, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of UnumProvident Corp. Mr. Madeja served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of International Rehabilitation Associates, Inc. Mr. Madeja served as an Executive Vice President of The Benefits Center of UnumProvident Corp. (formerly, Provident Companies, Inc.) since May 2003. Mr. Madeja served as the since January 1993. He served on an interim basis as executive vice president of the Benefits Center of GENEX Services. He has held various positions at Genex since 1982. Mr. Madeja served as Senior Vice President of UnumProvident, following the merger with Unum in June 1999. He served as an Executive Vice President of UnumProvident since May 1997. He served as a Director of Exogen, Inc. since February 1997. He serves on the board of directors of Professional Systems Corporation and the board of overseers of the University of Pennsylvania GSE. Mr. Madeja is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where he earned both a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree.
